THIXO 71 (FOREMERLY ALSO KNOWN AS THIXO 91)

“TWO COMPONENT POLYURETHANE COATING”

THIXO 71 is two component, water Based POLYURETHANE COATING which consists of specially developed polyurethane and properly selected components. THIXO 71 is not a usual Polyurethane coating it is modified Polyurethane which cures by mixing with curing component and gives Tough heavy duty Waterproof Membrane with extreme resistance for water and UV rays hence this can be applied on any Open Surface including Terrace and wall.

THIXO 71 also has excellent resistance to Corrosion with high bonding strength hence this can be used as an Anti corrosion coating on GI sheets.

Features

  • Will Provide Tough, Heavy Duty, Highly flexible water proof membrane.
  • Allows trapped vapor to escape thus preventing peeling and blistering.

METHOD OF APPLICATION WATER PROOFING COATING:

SURFACE PREPARATION

  • Prior to application of THIXO 71 the surface must be prepared as mentioned below to avoid failure and to achieve maximum beneficial properties.
  • When placing THIXO 71 coating, water should be removed.
  • The surface shall be cleaned to remove all dust, foreign matters, loose materials or any deposits of contamination which could affect the bonding.

APPLICATION:

  • After surface preparation like Removing loose particles and crack Treatment THIXO 91 must be applied on the Top of suitable primer.
    (Example: Any Epoxy base coat (Primer), Any PU based base coat (Primer).
  • Two coats are recommended on top of primer
  • Thixo 71 Part A must be applied by mixing with Part B in the ratio of 10.5: 1 ( 21kg : 2kg)
  • First coat should be allowed to air dry for 2-3 hours prior to apply subsequent coat.

PRECAUTIONS:

  • THIXO 71 must be applied with temperature above 10⁰ C and below 40⁰ C.
  • THIXO 71 should not be used with addition of cement.
  • THIXO 71 is not harm for applicators and users.

STORAGE:

  • Store in dry cool place in the temperature range from 5⁰C to 30⁰C in sealed condition.
  • Do not allow to freeze. Keep away from direct sunlight.

  • Coverage will vary based on surface, Application type and workmanship.
  • Diluting more than 10% may give more coverage but definitely affect the quality.
