THIXO 25 COOL COAT

THIXO 25 COOL COAT is the single component, modified hallow glass molecules based acrylic membrane which is composed of specially developed polymers and properly selected graded HGM. It cures by natural air, sunlight and gives elastomeric waterproof membrane. THIXO 25 COOL COAT is elastomeric in nature and has good resistance to weatherand sunlight. THIXO 25 COOL COAT has excellent protection against UV rays and reduces the temperature of 25°F – 34°F. It posses breathing properties, water resistance,crack bridging properties & UV resistance.

Method of Application in Waterproofing

As a Heat proofing Coating :

THIXO 25 COOL COAT can be applied directly on the surface which is free from loose particles.
Surface should be clean, dry and free from grease, oil, dirt and other loose materials.
Surface should be free from cracks which is more than 1 mm.
Clean the remains of paint, rust and other contaminants before coating the metal surface.

As a Waterproofing Coating :

THIXO 25 COOL COAT should be applied on the top of THIXO 61 LEAK SEAL by Airless Spray, brush/trowel in two coats maintaining the spreading rate to achieve the desired thickness.
In critical applications where film thickness is paramount and desired than the stated one then two coats should be applied to give the specified final film thickness.
On the vertical surface if high film build up is desirable then additional coat may be required.
If a water ponding test to be run then the membrane should be fully cured.

Precautions & Limitations:

Soft settling is likely to be observed in containers and the same shall be stirred thoroughly and carefully to achieve a homogeneous consistency. Film formation may not be uniform and gradualunder such circumstances & skinning on top surface may lead to formation of blisters and bubbles due to entrapped vapor from within the material. Recoat can be applied after touch dry andduration will vary depends upon the weather. THIXO 25 COOL COAT membranes must be cured for a minimum of 2 hours @ 27ºC before placing protection.
